Shaunta, you are my hero! And as with most superhero movies, there’s often that tiny little kid in complete awe, following you about and bombarding you with a constant stream of questions (me). So here’s one of them, if that’s okay:

  • How on this sweet and savoury Earth do you write consistently, each and every day, without the fear that the next thing you write can’t possibly ever live up to the brilliance of what you wrote the day before (not that that’s at all the case for you. Everything you write it pure, sparkly gold)? Is it possible to write day after day and be just as good day after day, without burning out your talent, without exhausting your superpowers?

I imagine in a parallel universe I might be a caricaturist or a botanist or somewhere asleep on the moon — but here, I am a writer.
